Visa, Mastercard and each online payment processor has their own set of rules, restrictions and compliance guidelines. Due to this, Elevated X does not have a universal set of guidelines for software clients to follow in building and setting up their web sites to be compliant and pass review.
WE STRONGLY suggest contacting your desired payment processing provider prior to submitting payment for Visa/MC high risk fees or signing agreements and asking questions as well as asking for a review of your content if there's any question as to possible restriction.
Visa, Mastercard, many banks and payment processors will require the same basic elements be present for sites selling adult oriented content, including but not limited to:
a) A warning page or splash page containing no full nudity that displays an adult content warning, age restriction notice and clearly labeled Enter/Exit links
b) A visible customer service link leading to a customer service page with contact options for issues and cancellations, or, at minimum, a visible customer service email address at the footer of the site
c) Text on the signup or payment page telling customers who billing is provided by and displaying a customer service link.
d) Text on the signup page making users aware that a charge is recurring
e) A link on each page containing adult content that leads to a page with your 18 U.S.C. 2257 Compliance Statement
f) Make sure your WHOIS information (website ownership and other contacts) matches the company or principal you entered in your contract.
g) Make sure your content is not in clear violation of acceptable standards. If you have questions about what is acceptable please contact your billing company of choice and ask them to review your content for potential violations.
h) Some processing companies require a link to a page containing your privacy policy and/or refund policy
