As of January, 2025, more than 40 US states have introduced or passed bills requiring age verification (AVS) for viewing of any adult oriented material.
Elevated X software includes the option to easily implement 3rd party age verification services to verify the age of website visitors, customers, and to prevent viewing of adult oriented material by anyone who has not been verified.
In order to comply with age verification standards, which may vary widely by location, the recommendation is that 100% of ALL SAFE PAGES on your website intended for viewing by the general public and by those who have not been verified to confirm that they are over legal age to view adult material be suitable for viewing by visitors of ALL AGES.
Your non-AVS or Safe for work/safe for viewing pages should contain NO ADULT MATERIAL. This includes images. video, audio, graphical and text based media including company, site or brand logos, and any words or phrases in text form that may describe, convey, or hint at nudity, physical or anatomical attributes, or anything even remotely sexual in nature.
We strongly urge each of our software clients to consult with a qualified attorney and undergo a thorough website audit to ensure compliance with all age verification legislature.
